1. Oslo walking tour meeting point: Tiger Sculpture

   Firstly, you'll meet us, your local Oslo guide, in front of the central train station by the large bronze tiger statue erected in honour of the city's nickname "tiger city". From here, we will take one of the city's many blue trams to the charming neighbourhood of Rodeløkka.

   We journey from Rodeløkka to the lovely Sofienbergparken, a popular meeting place for Grünerløkka's bohemians. Grünerløkka is a treasure trove for art, food and culture. The vibrant atmosphere will surely delight your senses from art galleries to antique stores and cafés.

   Next, we stop by the edge of the country's currently developing government quarter and contextualise how the horrendous terror attacks in 2011 mark a stark shift in the modern history of Oslo and Norway. What happened here on July 22nd 2011, has not only affected the city's cultural and political expression it also marked a deep wound in the country's collective identity.

   Ending of the Oslo walking tour: Karl Johans Gate, Oslo's main boulevard

   We will end our walking tour at the beautiful boulevard Karl Johan's Gate with all the new impressions safely stored in our minds and cameras.
